Flooding is down, temperatures are warming, and eagle season is in full swing! Below is an updated list of what’s going on around town.

Eagle Fest Walk

Join the Illinois Trekkers for a morning of exercise and eagle watching with the Eagle Fest Walk. The two routes provide the opportunity to spot eagles while experiencing the beauty of historic Alton and taking in views of the Mississippi River.

Chip Off the Block Ice Carving

Watch as talented artisans create one-of-a-kind ice sculptures, including the American Bald Eagle. The sculpture will be on display at the Tower until melted.

Bald Eagle Days at Pere Marquette State Park

Enjoy an informative presentation and short video about eagles, then take a driving tour to spot some! Each presentation begins at the Visitor Center at 8:30 am. You may need to take some detours, but the events are still on!

Bald Eagle Festival

Masters of the Sky

See eagles, falcons, owls, and other birds of prey at the National Great Rivers Museum. Showtimes are 11 am, 1 pm, and 3 pm both days. There will also be a free eagle display in the gallery at noon and 2 pm.
