Mapping St. Louis History

Take a walk through St. Louis history and view historic maps, rare books, and images commemorating the city’s 250th birthday.

Mercantile Library is located on the 2 lower levels of Thomas Jefferson Library (you will walk in on the 3rd floor). Exhibitions can be viewed during normal Thomas Jefferson Library hours. Enjoy the exhibition by yourself or take a free, docent-led tour Saturdays at 11 or Sundays at 2. Group tours can also be arranged. 38th Annual St. Louis RV Vacation and Travel Show

One of the largest public RV shows in the country, St. Louis RV Vacation and Travel Show is happening Thursday, January 29th – Sunday, February 1st.

View over 300 motor homes, sport trailers, 5th wheel trailers, travel trailers, folding campers and more. Learn about campgrounds and other travel destinations and check out service and product booths.

Watershed Cairns Exhibit

This new photography exhibit artfully highlights the St. Louis area’s close connection to rivers and streams. The images of the Watershed Cairns exhibit document important places in our regional watershed through vivid, large-scale photos of sculptural cairns made of glass. By naming and mapping sites of the photos, the exhibit offers visitors the chance to learn of the interconnection of these waters and the areas through which they pass.

Cabin Fever Party

JAC: Route 66 and Beyond

Full of engaging, unexpected effects, the images of “Route 66 and Beyond” underscore artist Mark Fisher’s fascination with the unique possibilities of alternative approaches to photography. His enticing images of “common subjects, uncommonly photographed” have been captivating viewers across America.

The nostalgic scenes of the Route 66 images on view at Jacoby are hand colored photos taken with infrared film. The exhibit also includes his striking series of digital color portraits picturing carnival chalkware figures.

This unique exhibit is one you won’t want to miss!

Mardi Gras STL – Cajun Cook-Off

Audubon Center: “Birds of Winter”

Audubon Eagle Watch

Join the Audubon Center for a day of eagle watching. It’s a guarantee that you’ll see one eagle, up close and personal, as you learn about eagle watching – how to spot them, where to look, and what brings them here each winter. Then, venture out and try to spot some on your own! High powered spotting scopes will be available for use, and knowledgeable staff and volunteers will be on hand to answer any questions.
