This new photography exhibit artfully highlights the St. Louis area’s close connection to rivers and streams. The images of the Watershed Cairns exhibit document important places in our regional watershed through vivid, large-scale photos of sculptural cairns made of glass. By naming and mapping sites of the photos, the exhibit offers visitors the chance to learn of the interconnection of these waters and the areas through which they pass.

A Mix of Media is a unique art exhibit showcasing the work of local artist Linda Miller, learned educator and artist.
A Mix of Media describes Linda’s approach to making art. Photography provided the palette and inspiration for the works in this exhibit. Linda often works wet on wet, a technique that involves a combination of transparent and opaque watercolor paints, as well as watercolor pencils, water-soluble oil pastels, and watercolor crayons on wet paper. Painting with oil pastels and adding depth with graphite details has also become a common expression for Linda.
Learn about and see more of Linda’s experimental process of making art by visiting A Mix of Media September 6 through September 28.
For more information about the exhibit, please call (618) 576-9235.
The gallery is open Saturday and Sunday from 11 am to 6 pm and all other days by appointment.
